Julia K. Scott-Benevides

Julia Scott-Benevides joined DeSisto Law as an intern in 2016 and became an attorney in 2021. She previously was a paralegal at the firm from 2017-2018 and worked as a summer law clerk for the firm in 2019 and in 2020. Julia focuses her practice on municipal defense, employment discrimination, civil rights violations, and general tort claims. 

Julia received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island in 2016.  She then graduated from Roger Williams University School of Law with her J.D. in 2021.

While in law school, Julia was a participant in the judicial externship program and the advanced judicial externship program, working for both the Honorable Associate Justice Daniel A. Procaccini in the Rhode Island Superior Court as well as the Honorable Judge Mary S. McElroy in the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island.
